Welcome to the Practice of Dr. Nestor Karas
Welcome to our oral and maxillofacial (jaw & face) surgery practice in Walnut Creek, California. We want to show you our office and introduce you to our professional services.
Our practice covers the diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitative procedures to treat injuries, diseases and defects of a person’s mouth, jaw and facial areas. We treat both functional and cosmetic conditions for patients of all ages. In short, our goal is the same as yours – to accurately identify and diagnose the problem and then, to help you realize the best possible solution in the safest, most cost-effective way. You can rely on our knowledgeable staff to answer any questions you may have concerning our services.
Rehabilitative Place
Rehabilitative procedures will correct the results of birth defects, trauma (accidents), cancer and tumors, malfunction of the jaw joint and missing or impacted teeth. Our surgical practice also includes such restorative techniques as dental implants. They can be used as long-lasting alternatives to dentures, bridges or single crowns to improve oral comfort and overall quality of life. Orthognathic procedures include jaw surgery to improve chewing and, often, make a remarkable improvement in facial appearance.

Dr. Nestor Karas, as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, serves the Bay Area, Walnut Creek and the surrounding communities in California. Dr. Karas lectured for years to residents and students at UCSF, while maintaining a busy faculty practice specializing in orthognathic, reconstructive, and dental implant surgery.

Since going into private practice, after leaving full time teaching, Dr. Karas continues to lecture and he and his staff are focused on providing advanced treatment for oral and facial conditions.
